If I ever found out who sent those damned chocolate eggs, they are going to regret it for the rest of their lives. I am never eating chocolate again.

Well, it seems that I have missed quite a bit of excitement. I should know by now the most amusing things happen on these journals when I’m not looking. Ah well, such are the burdens of always having far less mundane things to occupy my time. And oh, by the way, Mel, you have no idea how lucky you are to have such a talented man like Wentworth working for you. When you get back, you should give him a raise. And more time off. And possibly other things I’ll be thinking of soon enough. I’ll keep you updated on that. Or perhaps I’ll just make a list.

While gifts are always appreciated and chocolate is an appropriate one, I must say this is a bit odd. Even if chocolate eggs are appropriately festive for the time of year, it would be my hope that anyone sending presents my way could be more original than that. There is something to be said for showing some creative thinking, after all.

Oh, a biography on He Who Must Not Be Named. Is everyone going to start whinging about this now? I’ll just ask for someone to let me know when the conversation on the journals returns to something more interesting.

Melinda, I am terribly sorry to tell you but that I that daft little elf spilled ink all over your favorite jumper. I swear, that thing is completely incompetent some days. But I was thinking of going shopping anyway so I can pick you up a new one if you like? You must admit, it was a bit ratty, and the cut was absolutely terrible on top of that. We can do much better than that.

This day has been ghastly uneventful so far. I am so painfully bored. Someone should entertain me.
